1. What is YX GOIP Gateway?

YX GOIP Gateway is a multi-functional device that bridges IP, digital, analog, and mobile networks (GSM/CDMA/WCDMA/4G LTE). It reduces call costs between fixed lines and mobile networks, making it ideal for telecom carriers, businesses, and areas where fixed-line services are unavailable or costly. With support for multiple SIM cards and flexible configurations, it’s designed to simplify voice and SMS communication across different networks.

2. Key Features of YX GOIP Gateway

  • Voice Call Core Functions: Supports G729a/b/e, G723.1, G.711 A/U law, and iLBC codecs. Features call waiting, call forwarding, call duration control, and caller ID display/hiding.
  • SIM Card Management: Rotates SIM cards automatically based on rules (call duration, failed calls, SMS count, etc.). Supports up to 512 SIM cards (varies by model) and SIM pool integration for remote SIM use.
  • Network Compatibility: Works with DHCP/PPPoE/VPN (PPTP) protocols. Supports STUN for NAT traversal and proxy encryption for IP block bypass.
  • SMS Capabilities: Sends, receives, forwards SMS via GSM/SIP/HTTP. Supports scheduled SMS, SMS filtering, and SMPP 3.4 protocol integration.
  • Remote Management: Web-based interface (supports Firefox/Chrome/IE/Opera) for easy configuration. Compatible with ERMS/ETMS servers for remote device control.

3. How to Use the Voice Function

Using the voice feature of YX GOIP Gateway is straightforward—follow these steps to set up and make calls:

1. Initial Setup (Hardware & Network)

  • Fix the antenna to the gateway.
  • Insert SIM cards into the designated slots.
  • Connect the gateway to your router/switch via the WAN port using an Ethernet cable.
  • Plug in the power supply (DC 12V, 3A/5A/7.5A/8A).
  • The default WAN IP is 192.168.1.10—ensure your computer is on the same LAN segment.

2. Web Login & Basic Configuration

  • Open your browser and enter http://192.168.1.10 (gateway’s WAN IP).
  • Log in with the default credentials: Username = root, Password = root.
  • Go to Guider > Initial Setting to configure WAN connection (Static IP/DHCP/PPPoE) based on your network.

3. Set Up SIP for Voice Calls

  • Navigate to Gateway Settings > SIP Setting.
  • Select Protocol Mode: Choose "Registration" to connect to a SIP server.
  • Fill in SIP Server IP, SIP Server Port (default 5060), Account, and Password (provided by your SIP service provider).
  • Set Local Port (default 5060, adjustable to avoid conflicts) and Expiration Period (default 180 seconds).
  • Click "Submit" to save settings.

4. Configure Voice Parameters

  • Go to System Setting > Voice and Codec.
  • Adjust Codec Priority: Click "Up" or "Down" to set preferred codecs (e.g., G729 for bandwidth efficiency).
  • Set Voice Volume: Adjust input/output volume (10-40) and DTMF volume as needed.
  • Configure call tones (dial tone, ringback tone) based on your region (default settings work for most areas).

5. Make & Manage Calls

  • Check call status: Go to Status Information > Call Status to view live calls, duration, signal intensity, and balance.
  • Control call rules: Navigate to Gateway Settings > Call Ctrl Settings to set call interval, max call duration, and call number limits.
  • Use call waiting: Enable Gateway Settings > Call Waiting Settings to allow incoming calls while on an active call.
  • View call statistics: Access Status Information > Call Statistics to track total calls, connected calls, ASR (Answer Seizure Ratio), and ACD (Average Call Duration).

4. Why Choose YX GOIP Gateway?

  • Cost-Effective: Reduces cross-network call costs by routing IP calls directly to mobile networks.
  • Highly Scalable: Multiple models available (4-64 channels, 4-512 SIM capacity) to fit small businesses and large carriers.
