Complete Installation & Operation Steps

1. Hardware Connection

1. Insert the standard SIM card correctly into the 8 SIM card slots of the device, and install the 2G GSM antenna for each port.
2. Use the USB data cable to connect the modem's USB port to the computer's USB port.
3. Connect the power adapter (AC 100-240V) and turn on the power switch of the device.
4. Check the LED indicator light to confirm that the device is powered on normally.

2. XR21V1414 Driver Installation

1. Open the computer Device Manager (shortcut command: devmgmt.msc).
2. Find Unknown Device or USB Serial Device (COM) in the port list.
3. Right-click → Update Driver → Select Browse my computer for drivers.
4. Select the decompressed XR21V1414 driver folder (select 32/64-bit according to the system).
5. After the installation is successful, the port will be displayed as: XR21V1414 USB UART (COMxx).

3. SMSCaster E-Marketer Software Installation & Activation

1. Run the SMSCaster installation package and complete the installation step by step according to the wizard.
2. Open the software, enter Help → About, copy the Serial# serial number.
3. Send the serial number to our technical support to obtain the official unlock key.
4. Enter the unlock key to complete the registration and activate all bulk SMS functions.

4. Bulk SMS Sending Operation

1. Open SMSCaster, select Yes to automatically detect the COM port.
2. Select the port marked Ready in the port list.
3. Import the contact list or create a customer group.
4. Edit SMS content → Click Send to Outbox.
5. Enter the outbox and click Send to start batch SMS delivery.

1. Open the Putty tool, select Serial mode, and enter the corresponding COM port number.
2. Baud rate setting: 115200, click Open to connect.

• Flashing every 3 seconds = normal registration
• Flashing every 1 second or always on = SIM card not detected/abnormal signal

Q1. Does SMS modem support custom calling number/sender ID when making calls or sending text messages?
A：The device uses a SIM card, which naturally displays the SIM card number when making calls or sending text messages. This is determined by the SIM card itself and the SIM card operator, and generally does not support custom calling numbers/sender IDs. In VOIP and network SMS services, only the operator's routing (CLI and direct connection) may be supported!

Q2. Does SMS modem support detecting surrounding mobile phone information, listening to surrounding calls, tracking/tracing mobile phones/calls/SMS, IMSI Catcher and other detection functions?
A：This type of feature has no connection with our product and is not supported!

Q3. Does the SMS modem support wifi or multi wifi functions to provide data internet access and other functions?
A：The functions related to wifi/data internet are not related to any of our devices and are not supported!

Q4. Does GOIP, MOIP, or SMS modem support functions such as MMS, picture SMS, voice SMS, video calls, etc?
A：SMS modems can support MMS (customers need to have their own software support, we do not provide MMS software), and the latest version of YX GOIP/MOIP can also support sending MMS. Other products do not support it.

Q5. Does the modem have an API?

A：The modem does not have an API, while the YX series GOIP/MOIP has HTTP APIs for sending/receiving SMS and USSD, supporting customer developed software to call through HTTP; DBL's GOIP does not have an API that can be directly used, but if the customer has their own server, after installing a GOIP SMS sending server software, they can use the SMS HTTP API.

Q6. Is there a device that supports receiving and forwarding SMS messages?

A：SMS modem can receive SMS messages, but it does not support forwarding. At the same time, the software we provide does not support viewing which port receives SMS messages;YX GOIP/MOIP can receive information and forward it to email/HTTP address/SIP server/other phone numbers or HTTP API directly from the device (commonly used are email or HTTP API retrieval)

Q7. Can the device support international roaming and what should be noted?
A：1. The SIM card needs to be able to roam to the target country. 2. It is necessary to understand the frequency band of the target country, and the device needs to be matched with the frequency band of the target country (if there are too many frequency bands in the target country, it can also be determined which operator in the target country can provide roaming signals for the SIM card, and the device needs to be matched with the frequency band of the operator that provides roaming signals)

A：The product is not related to which country or carrier it is used in. As long as the device's frequency band matches the local (or carrier's) frequency band, it can be used!

Q10. What is the difference between 2G/3G/4G devices?
A: 2G/3G/4G modem send SMS at different speeds, but there is no difference, but in many countries, GSM signal is facing elimination, so you need to choose according to the local situation

Q11. Can the modem send USSD?
A: No, it is not recommended, although the cat can send USSD through AT command, but this AT command relies on manual operation, there is no way to use it in large quantities directly, if the customer has its own software support then it is possible!

About IMEI,operators will recognize that one IMEI is one cell phone, so when the card is abnormal,it may be accompanied by IMEI being blocked, the phenomenon is usually that the device can not be registered or can not send SMS or can not make a call, etc., but the card inserted into the cell phone is normal, this is the case that the IMEI is blocked, and the IMEI can be replaced!
